To whomever this may concern,

For an 18-year-old, Generation Z, village boy (blah blah), establishing a voice in the fashion industry seemed delusional. Even at the point of deciding what to do with the rest of my life I can’t help but feel as though my dream job is nothing but The Lost City of Atlantis in the ocean that is my life; my very own Utopian ideal. Being a notoriously difficult industry to infiltrate, I have often wondered where is the best place to start, and with many of my peers and teachers seeing it as an industry of airheads and bores, advice is somewhat scarce. After finishing my A-Levels this summer I am still feeling the need to learn and immerse myself in opportunity and experience and have decided to dedicate my time to this blog.

Looking at the current socio-political changes in fashion excites me, it could be the neo-Balenciaga response to Bernie Sanders or Miuccia bringing back the menswear jumpsuit, all I know is I need to get involved. So, I have decided to quit relying on others to show me how to do life and just start writing about the big-bad-fabulous fashion industry, in hope that someone will recognise the drive I have.

I hope this Carrie-Bradshaw-esque introduction has allowed you to understand my situation and I look forward to hearing from you in the future.
